Post Christmas Haul!

Hi!

I hope you had a good Christmas if you celebrate it and if not, hope you all had a good holiday season! :)
Our 6 month old collie had a particularly lovely day...

Anyway, I went on a little shopping trip the other day and picked up some hair/nail/skincare things in the sales!

I picked up John Frieda Full Repair Hydrate & Restore Shampoo & Conditioner first of all....
I usually only get these when they're on offer as £6/7 is quite a bit to pay for shampoo when it doesn't last that long...particularly with me as I have long hair! There was a 3 for 2 offer on "premium haircare" in Boots so I also got the John Frieda Luxurious Volume Dry Shampoo too as I was intrigued by their "luxurious volume" range as my hair is quite flat sometimes. I decided to try just the dry shampoo though as I've only ever really tried a couple of different dry shampoos and wanted to see how a more expensive one was different.

I also picked up some double faced cotton pads from Boots too as I was running out... I love these as they have a soft side for toner for your skin and then the rougher side is great for removing nail polish. These are only about £2 if I remember correctly.

I also then went to Superdrug (I know it is a bit weird to go to both  but they have slightly different brands, honest!) and I was drawn to the Barry M Glitter Nail Polishes in 353 Ruby Glitter and 335 Copper. They didn't have such a big range of Barry M Polishes in Boots so I generally like to have a look in Superdrug to see if there are any others there. Definitely looking forward to putting these on my nails soon! They were £2.99 each.

I also looked at some Simple skincare products in Superdrug and got the Kind To Skin Moisture Boost Hydro Mist which was £2 off. I really love this stuff and its my third bottle. I used to use it a LOT a year or so ago but when it ran out I forgot to repurchase. However now I'm glad I did rebuy it as I love this stuff. I spritz it on my face after foundation and it gives a lovely glow and keeps my skin feeling hydrated all day. This was about £4 with the £2 off.

I also got the Simple Kind To Skin + Perefecting Beauty Balm as I was intrigued by it. I think this was around £7 and I was surprised to see they only had one "universal shade" which was curious.
I'll be doing a review on this soon although on first glance it does look a little orange... perhaps not as "universal" as they thought.

A few days ago I also picked up some new face wash, toner and a new mascara which I'll also be reviewing soon so keep an eye out for that even though I don't have pictures included in this post.

Have a good day!
Thanks for reading :)

Small Beauty Haul!

Hi!

Today I just wanted to show you a few things I picked up actually a while ago..I just forgot to post about them and the photo for it just sat in the depths of my laptop files.

I got the Boots Essential Nail Polish Remover because it's only £1 and it works well! I don't notice any difference at all when I use anything more expensive and so I just get this one now. :)

I also just picked up some plain black hairbands from Boots too...all my hairbands have mysteriously disappeared recently. I suspect my cat.

I got 3 nail polishes from Miss Sporty...I will show these in more detail soon! Annoyingly they didn't put the proper full names on the bottles, only on the display (it annoys me to NO END when companies do that...WHY do they deliberately make it difficult to know which shade you have? How hard is it to put the name on the bottle...ok rant over. ).
The dark blue shade is 510 I think, the light teal colour is 060 and the gorgeous duo chrome purple is 040.

I ran out of my usual Aussie Luscious Long Spray Leave in Conditioner which I always use to detangle and condition my hair after washing so I decided to try the Miracle Recharger one instead which promises to make hair shinier. I have noticed that I think it actually has been working!

My hair has been damaged recently and I think that the hairbrush I was using to brush my hair whilst it was still damp was causing some of that damage so I decided to try a wide toothed comb instead which was recommended for brushing out hair with minimal damage.
This Mark Hill one was only £4 and it works really well! Really impressed with it so far.

Anyway that's it! I'll probably show the nail polishes in posts soon!

Thanks so much for reading - I really appreciate it! :)

NYX Cosmetics Haul!

Hi!
A couple of days ago I ordered a couple of things from the NYX UK website (www.nyxcosmetics.co.uk/) and I thought I'd show them to you in a haul post!

I love the NYX tape around this little package...is it just me or is it REALLY exciting getting a packaging in the mail? Even though I know what is in it I still find it so fun opening packages!

I got 4 eyeshadows, 1 lipgloss and 1 blush.

Here's a closer look! :)

This is a lip gloss I got called True Star. I tried it on today and it looks a little frosty on the lips to begin with but after it's been on the lips a while it looks really nice and it smells nice too! :)

I got a blush in Natural as I saw this and just KNEW it was my kind of colour for a blush. I have very pale skin and this kind of baby doll pink colour works so well for me generally.

This eyeshadow is in the shade Asphalt - it's a very interesting copper colour with some gold specks in it! :)

This shade is called Fahrenheit and its a lovely pink shade...when I saw it I was immediately reminded of MAC's colour Expensive Pink and I think this would be a pretty close dupe but I can't swatch them side by side because I don't actually HAVE the colour Expensive Pink...
Nevertheless this is a very pretty colour!

Last but not least this is the shade Eucalyptus...it looks a lot more grey on the camera than in real life!
This is a shimmery light taupe colour which does have done grey tones.
I've used it a couple of times and it works well on the inner corner and also for blending purposes :)

So there you have it!
There's my NYX cosmetics haul, I'm so excited to try everything out more and reviews will be coming soon!

Thanks so much for reading!

Small Makeup Haul!

Hi!

I have just a quick haul today of a couple of makeup products I picked up today in TK Maxx - I find that you can discover some really interesting things in there for cheaper prices!

I got two of the New CID Cosmetics I-colours (cream shadows) that really caught my eye. I nearly got a duo that came with an electric blue and an olive green but I thought I'd get better use out of these shades.
I bought Zinc ( a sparkly black colour) and Twilight (a sparkly silver with a hint of taupe).
I know you can't properly see them from the photo but I plan to do a review so stay tuned for swatches etc!

I also got two items from Bourjois which I spotted.
I got the 1001 Cils 1001 Lashes Mascara...a new mascara is always exciting and this one has a rubber wand which I love.
Also that came with the Bourjois Paris Brush Concealer in Beige Clair which was the only one they had - its a surprisingly good match for my skin! :)

I put together a quick look using all of these products:

Reviews coming soon!

General Skincare/Haircare/Makeup Haul!

Hi!

Today I just have a quick haul of a few products I picked up recently, most of them are skincare or hair care with a few extras :)
This was actually two separate shopping trips so that's why the photos are separate!

1) Boots Tea Tree & Witchhazel Cleansing And Toning Lotion

I got this because my local boots was out of the Simple toner that I normally use...but I've generally liked the Tea Tree & Witch Hazel products before from Boots so I thought I'd try this out...
Generally liking it so far although it has a strong smell...
This was around £4 which is slightly more expensive than my normal one but I do like it so far.

2) Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes

I got these for cleansing in the morning because I'm famous for not having enough time to properly wash with a facial wash and so I end up just not doing it...hopefully at least I'll remember to use these!
I like these wipes, I've used them before and although I only got one pack I plan on getting some more to stock up!
These are about £3.85

3) Sure Clear Pure Crystal Deodorant

I got the pink one of these as this has one of my favourite scents and I was running out so this was just a boring general basic item that I needed to get! :)

4) Clairol Nice n Easy Hair Dye (104)

Despite being naturally blonde my shade of blonde is quite dark especially at the roots so I dye my hair a slightly lighter blonde than my natural colour.
I hadn't used this brand before (usually I use the Belle Colour one) but my boots didn't have them so I got this one instead...used it today and really pleased with the finished result!
It looks like a pretty warm coloured blonde but that's ok because generally the slightly "carroty" colour goes when you dry your hair after dying and then it fades even more as you wash it.
This was I think £5.99.

5) Boots Double Sided Cotton Pads

I get these pads because I love the double sides; there is a smooth side for things like facial toner and then a slightly rough side which is great for removing nail varnish.
These are only around £1.89 and I always get these!

And then today I went out again and got a few things...mainly makeup based!

6) Real Techniques Stippling Brush

I REALLY wanted to try some of the brushes from Real Techniques and I was tempted to get a set but decided it seemed a lot for brushes that I might not use as much so I got a stippling brush that I really needed! :)
This was £10.99 and so far I really like it; it's densely packed and small enough to get into all the nooks and crannies of my face!

7) Rimmel London Match Perfection 2-in-1 Concealer & Highlighter

This is a favourite for me, and this is my third tube of it!
I'm running out of my current one so I decided to pick up another, this just highlights my under eye area so beautifully.
My shade is Ivory and I got this for only £5.99.

8) Garnier Simply Essentials Facial Cleansing Wipes

These were on 3 for £5 so I got loads of these!
Boots was out of my usual Cumber Face Wipes so I got these instead to try out.
I used one a minute ago and while I like it I found it very slightly drying but that's not much of a problem because a spot of moisturiser fixed it straight away.

9) Benefit Erase Paste

This was kind of a splurge for me...Basically I have this already but in a shade that is too dark so I got this in the lightest shade and I'm looking forward to using it!
I love the formula of the Erase Paste so hopefully this will be better for me than the sample size I originally that is a too dark shade.

10) Sleek Ultra Mattes V1 Palette (Brights)

I originally wanted the Acid palette (And I still do) but my Superdrug doesn't have it :( I'll have to order it online or something.
But to satisfy my need for some bright matte shades I got this palette instead which looks pretty good!
I'm looking forward to trying this out!

Well that's it!
Thanks for reading, I'll have reviews of some of these products coming soon!

Makeup Haul #2

Hi!

I went out this afternoon to pick up a few things and decided I'd share them with you here! :)
It's going to be my school ball quite soon so I decided to pick up a few things that I would be able to try out in time for that so I knew whether they would be good to wear on the night.

First I decided that I really wanted to pick up the Rimmel London Fix & Perfect Pro Primer as I'd read lots of good things about it and I needed a new face primer! I like the look of it so far - it has a nice feel to it and it was only £6.99 so not too expensive! :P
I also wanted something that would help my foundation last all of the night for my ball.

I needed a fairly nude lipstick for the ball and I only have one like it at the moment and I decided to try out a different shade. I picked up the 17 Supreme Shine Lipstick in the shade Bella.
I'm wearing it right now and it's a nice matte shade that is pretty close to my natural lip colour. It's a shade that I think of being "my lips but better"!

I tend to go through highlight colours ridiculously fast. I have a lot of darkness around my eyes that I need to brighten up so I wanted a full sized highlight shadow that I could easily grab for. Most of my highlight shades are in palettes and that makes it tricky to get out quickly unless I'm already using that palette so I got the Natural Collection Eye Shadow in Sea Shell. It looks like it will be a nice light, nude colour that should work well as a highlight colour.

I can never resist a new mascara.
I'm running out of my Stila Fibre Optics Mascara so I thought it was time I tried something new in case I run out completely. I was attracted to the pink tube of the Collection 2000 Super Size Fat Lash Mascara.

Also from Collection 2000 I picked up yet another of their Hot Looks nail polishes. They've changed the name and packaging slightly but they are still essentially the same product.
I love these polishes and I have 11 of them!
This shade is in 65 Scorched and I don't think I have anything like this in my collection at the moment. It's a bright, fiery orange red colour that is pretty unique!

I'm running out of a base coat at the moment so I got the Natural Collection Nail Polish in the shade Crystal Clear. It isn't marketed as a base coat but I know from experience that just a clear shade acts as a base coat for me - I don't feel like I need anything fancy :)

I simply couldn't resist the Barry M Nail Paint in Teal 334 when I saw it.
I love teal as a colour in general (I'm wearing teal eye liner at the moment!) and so I thought this was a beautiful colour and I cant wait to wear it on my nails.

So that's it! I hope you enjoyed my haul post :)
Thank you for reading!

E.L.F Cosmetics Haul!

*This is a scheduled post as over the next few weeks I'm going to be busy with exams*

Hi! :)
The other day I happened to notice that not only were E.L.F having a sale...but they also had the non-sale products on buy 1 get 1 free! :)
Needless to say I took advantage of this offer and ordered a few things... :)
Just a heads up...this post will likely be quite picture heavy ;)

Is it just me or is it extraordinarily exciting to get a package like this in the post???

One of the things I really wanted to try out was their custom line...where basically you get a palette and then choose 4 eye shadows, lip colours or face products to fill it. I chose all eye shadows! I like the look of the palette too as it looks really sturdy.
"Aubergine"

"Pink Ice"

"Moondust"

"Golden Glow"

The palette cost £1.50 and each of the shadows were meant to be £1 but since there was a sale I got them all for 45p!
I stupidly didn't realise at the time but I accidentally selected 2 of the "Golden Glow" shadow...but never mind :) It's a pretty colour and they were on sale so maybe I'll keep it as a backup or give it to my mum or someone!
All Over Colour Stick in Spotlight
I already one of these in Lilac Petal (which you can read the review of HERE) and I decided to try out another one but in a highlight shade :) This was from the Essential line and so it was £1.50.
Studio Pigment Eye Shadow in "Golden Goddess"

Studio Pigment Eye Shadow in "Baked Brown"

I'm a BIG fan of pigments and these two colours looked really pretty so I decided to get these...they were from the Studio line so they were £3.75 each.

I don't often wear blusher or bronzer but I've really decided to get into it recently so I ordered the Studio Contouring Blush & Bronzer Duo in St Lucia which was the lightest shades they had so I decided it would be best for my fair skin :) This was £3.75.
After loving the HD Under Eye Setting Powder I decided I had to try the High Definition Powder for the face too as I've heard good things about it...looking forward to trying it out!
This was £6 and was in the shade Translucent.

Finally I decided to get another mascara as I've gotten bored of the current ones I have and some of them are running out....This was only £2.50 and is the Volumizing Mascara.

So that's it! I hope you enjoyed my haul...I will be doing reviews on every one of these things and when I do I'll link them here :)

EDIT:
Here are the reviews I've done so far! :)

Thanks for reading! What are your favourite products from E.L.F?

Hair & Makeup Haul! (#1)

Hi ;)
Been doing some shopping recently and thought I'd show you some of the things I picked up recently... they are mostly things like hair products but a couple of makeup items too! :)

I actually bought these products last week but I thought I'd include it in the same post :)

Batiste Tropical Dry Shampoo:
I really love this dry shampoo and I decided I needed to repurchase it! This sized bottle was about £3 but because they were on a 3 for 2 offer in Boots I picked up another one for free! I love the coconut/pineapple smell and feels really refreshing when you put it on along with helping with oil control.

Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil:
This is again another thing I had to repurchase. I'm currently nearly finished on a bottle of this at the moment and I knew I had to pick up another! It was £6.99 and I love it so much I didn't want to be without it! I put it on after washing my hair and it makes my hair really shiny and much softer.

And then yesterday when I went shopping again I decided to take advantage of the 3 for 2 offer on hair care in Boots again! :)  I knew I needed a spray leave in conditioner so I decided to get a couple of other things too :)

Aussie Luscious Long Leave In Conditioner:
Having long hair I thought this would be the best one for me! I used to use a different Aussie leave in conditioner but I decided this one would be slightly better suited to my hair. I like using a spray leave in conditioner after I wash my hair because I find it detangles it a lot! I used this last night and it smells really nice too! All of the Aussie products I bought were all very close to the £5 mark.

Aussie Dual Personality Texturizing And Conditioning Gel Spray:
This was something I bought on a bit of a whim! I decided it would be good to try out something to give my hair some texture so I picked this up, I haven't used it yet but when I do maybe I'll do a review on it :)

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Luscious Long Deep Treatment:
I've used these before and they always smell so good and make my hair really soft! I again decided to use the Luscious Long one because again I thought it would suit my hair best. I also used this last night; it smells amazing and my hair feels so soft. I keep smelling my own hair because I love the scent!

Slightly more boring...by the checkout I picked up some of the cotton wool round pads because I love how these have two sides - one softer one that I use for toner and another one that has more texture for taking off nail polish. I think these were about £1.79.

I also got a few makeup items too :)

Maybelline Dream Matte Mouse:
I've used 2 pots of this before because I used to use it when I was first getting into makeup. The other day I realised that I'd love to try it again as a lighter foundation for something like school days. I remember liking it so I don't know why it's taken me so long to repurchase it, but this is my 3rd pot so I can tell that it works for me! I bought the shade Ivory and have used it today, its a pretty good colour match and I like the lightweight feeling on my skin! I recently talked more about this in my Empties post, which you can read HERE. This was about £7 in Boots.

Sleek Crème To Powder:
I nipped into Superdrug to have a look at the Sleek stand, which I always love! I decided to try out another lightweight foundation as something I could wear everyday that wasn't a liquid. I thought I'd try this for days when I need slightly more coverage. I tried this yesterday and I really LOVE the way it looks on my skin (the shade I have is White Rose) because it makes my skin look luminous yet very clear because it has good coverage. The only thing I didn't like is that it's too dark for me, however I'll definitely hang onto it and use it more in the summer when my skin is a bit darker! However even though the colour match is wrong I still am a big fan of this product and I can sense that I may repurchase it....Like the Maybelline foundation this was around £7.

Vaseline:
I just picked up another one of these because nothing seems to moisturise my lips so well! I have the pink Rosy Lips Vaseline too but that seems to have been discontinued/limited edition because I couldn't find it...but I decided to get the original one for £1.99 because I like having one in my school bag and one at home :)

Well that's it! I hope you enjoyed my little haul :)
Thank you for reading!
